In malay consept of wedding,"merisisk"is the first step to starting all over of marriage.It represent to determine or asks the lady status.
The second step is the "bertunang"that called engangement.That ceremony will be organised at lady home.Future husband family attended to lady house.During the ceremony,dowry and all about wedding will be discussed.
The actual wedding day is the "bersanding".But before "bersanding",wedding is completed by ceremony of "akad nikah"is the ceremony that gives permission to man and woman to live together.After the akad nikah,the bride and bridegroom will faced the climax of wedding that called "bersanding".Bersanding" means the "sitting together of the bride and bridegroom on
the bridal couch".The coach known as the "pelamin"(dais) that centrepiece of the whole ceremony and two "pelamins"(dais)are required. as the "bersanding" ceremony takes place in the afternoon,the bridegroom entertains guests at his own house in the morning.A hadrah or village band(male music group)will escorted to his bride home.As arrived over there,he has to pay a"tax"in the form of the money to the girl family before he enters each door leading to the "pelamin'(dais).After ceremony,the couple returns to the bridegroom house in a procession.The "bersanding" ceremony is repeated for the benefit of the bridegroom kinfolk.Feasting and marry-making is followed,called"kenduri"..,,
